$60,000- $70,000 Are you passionate about using your accounting expertise to support a mission-driven organization? We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant with experience in grant accounting. This role will be key in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with funding requirements, and strong stewardship of resources.

OVERVIEW OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT ROLE:

Manage the accounting and financial reporting for multiple grants and funding sources.

Track and reconcile grant expenditures to ensure compliance with funding requirements.

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for grants.

Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and forecasting for grant-funded programs.

Support annual audits and assist with preparation of grant-related schedules and documentation.

Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with accounting standards and funder requirements.

Collaborate with program managers to provide financial insights and guidance on grant spending.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit organization.

Strong knowledge of grant accounting, fund accounting, or restricted funds.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks or similar).

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
