Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented New Graduate Design Engineer to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for recent graduates with a passion for mechanical design and a solid foundation in 3D CAD modeling, particularly using CATIA or SolidWorks. As a Design Engineer, you will be involved in the conceptualization, development, and refinement of mechanical components and assemblies, contributing to real-world engineering projects from day one.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and modify 3D models and 2D drawings of components and assemblies using CATIA or SolidWorks
Assist in the design and development of new products, tooling, or systems based on project requirements
Perform tolerance analysis, interference checks, and design validation using CAD tools
Participate in design reviews and support cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and procurement
Collaborate with senior engineers to interpret design specifications and customer requirements
Maintain engineering documentation, BOMs (Bills of Materials), and revision control
Support prototype builds and testing activities, incorporating feedback into design iterations
Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and safety regulations
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field (Graduated within the past 12 months or graduating soon)
Proficiency in CATIA or SolidWorks (academic,, or co-op experience accepted)
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T, and materials
Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, injection molding, or sheet metal fabrication
Effective communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
