HRM-030-Job Description Machine Operator
Description:
An established foreign food manufacturer has expanded its business to the United States and is currently looking for a Machine Operator to join the production team. The incumbent will be responsible for operating certain designated production equipment in the assigned areas adhered by facility Quality Management System Policies including GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP program, safety protocols, etc to ensure product quantity and quality.
Responsibilities:
Be familiar with all the processes and procedures for operating the machines in the assigned areas
Conduct product test in the beginning of the production or after each changeover to ensure that the product quality meets the company standards
Be able to conduct minor adjustment of the equipment
Notify the production management of equipment malfunction or breakdown immediately
Fill out different production forms to track the production results as required
Notify the production management for any inaccuracy of the machines
Equip yourself with all required PPEs when performing the job
Participate in health and safety training and monthly meetings to avoid violations on food cross contamination and workplace safety
Address any questions and concerns on SOPs, food safety, and employee safety with supervisor for prompt resolution
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Minimum 2 year of experience in a fast paced food manufacturing environment, machine operating experience required
Ability to work in a diverse team environment
Ability to do basic mathematical calculation
Ability to read, write and communicate in English
Ability to work 1st shift, any consecutive from 4:30 am - 3:00 pm depending on assigned
areas
Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed
Physical requirement including frequent lifting up to 25 Ibs., occasional lifting up to 50 Ibs., and infrequent lifting up to 100 Ibs; For instances when employee is required to lift more than 50 Ibs and 100 Ibs they must work in teams of two or use the proper equipmentCompany Description
