Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Commercial Incharge (Embellishment) to oversee the commercial and operational activities related to printing and embroidery processes outside the factory. The ideal candidate will manage all external vendor coordination for embellishment-related items and ensure timely and cost-effective execution of orders in alignment with production requirements and buyer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end commercial operations related to printing and embroidery, ensuring smooth execution of embellishment processes for a factory of 80-120 machines.
Review tech packs/tech files and understand buyer requirements for embellishment details, trims, and accessories.
Coordinate with external vendors for outsourced printing, embroidery, fabric dyeing, knitting, packaging materials, neck labels, poly bags, barcodes, and related accessories.
Ensure timely material procurement and delivery to maintain production flow and meet shipment deadlines.
Negotiate pricing, timelines, and quality standards with external vendors while maintaining cost control and compliance with company policies.
Maintain and track commercial documentation, including purchase orders, delivery challans, invoices, and payment follow-ups.
Work closely with the production, planning, and quality teams to align embellishment activities with internal manufacturing schedules.
Monitor inventory levels for fabric and embellishment materials, initiating replenishment as required.
Ensure all commercial processes and vendor relationships are handled with transparency, efficiency, and adherence to compliance standards.
Identify and develop new vendor partnerships to enhance capacity, quality, and turnaround time.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Commerce, Textile Management, or Supply Chain (MBA preferred).
4-7 years of experience in commercial operations within textile or garment manufacturing, specifically in embellishment (printing/embroidery).
Strong understanding of fabric commercial processes including external knitting, dyeing, finishing, and embellishment.
Ability to read and interpret technical files (tech packs) and coordinate execution as per buyer requirements.
Hands-on experience in vendor management, costing, and order tracking.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems for commercial data tracking.
Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills.
