Azure Engineer Server & Database Migration

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Azure Engineer with expertise in server and database migration to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in planning, executing, and supporting migration projects to Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, plan, and execute server and database migration strategies to Azure cloud platform

Assess existing infrastructure and recommend migration approaches

Perform lift-and-shift or re-architecture as required for seamless migration

Monitor migration progress and resolve issues proactively

Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth transition

Optimize cloud resources for cost, performance, and security

Maintain documentation of migration processes and configurations

Provide post-migration support and troubleshooting

Required Skills & Experience:

Proven experience in Azure cloud services, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS

Hands-on experience in migrating servers (Windows/Linux) and databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL, etc.)

Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance standards in Azure

Knowledge of Azure Migrate, Azure Data Factory, and related tools

Familiarity with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and automation scripting

Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Relevant certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, etc.) are a plus

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

3+ years of experience in cloud migration projects
