As a key member of the Chemical Regulatory Team, you will interpret complex regulations, develop and implement compliance processes, support regulatory aspects of new product introductions (NPI), and maintain compliance throughout the product lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:Interpret and apply international, federal, and local regulations for chemical (e.g., TSCA, REACH/CLP, GHS, ODZ, F-Gas) and biological substances (e.g., USDA-APHIS, AU-DAFF, EU Animal By-Products).Lead global regulatory reporting, registrations, and notifications.
Guide SDS development, GHS labeling, and risk assessments.Collaborate with Regulatory Intelligence to monitor emerging regulations and develop risk mitigation strategies.Serve as a regulatory expert, advising cross-functional teams and representing Agilent in industry forums and policy discussions.Partner with divisions and R&D to ensure NPI and product development align with evolving regulatory requirements.Deliver training on global product regulations and maintain ChemBio compliance processes and tools.Support regulatory inspections and respond to authority inquiries.This role requires strong scientific expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes while enabling innovation and market access.ProfileBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field with strong regulatory emphasis.
Professional certification in regulatory affairs is preferred.Minimum 8 years of experience in ChemBio regulatory compliance within multinational chemical, life sciences, diagnostics, or analytical chemistry industries.Deep knowledge of global chemical and biological regulations (e.g., TSCA, REACH/CLP, GHS, GMO, USDA-APHIS, AU-DAFF, EU Animal By-Products, transport regulations) and supply chain compliance.Proven track record supporting NPI and product lifecycle regulatory compliance.
Expertise in enterprise compliance software, including SDS, GHS, and chemical/biological databases.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving regulatory initiatives in complex global environments.Demonstrated ability to identify emerging regulatory trends and translate them into strategic actions.
Active in industry associations or regulatory working groups, with experience advocating company positions to agencies.
Experience managing global audits and inspections is a plus.
