Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting, requiring an active TX PT license and at least 1 year of professional experience.
Responsibilities
Position is in an outpatient physical therapy setting
Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
No on-call or weekend responsibilities
Patient population consists primarily of orthopedic cases
Virtual interview process with two rounds
Core responsibilities include patient evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, education, and discharge planning to maximize functional outcomes
Must perform timely and accurate clinical documentation and charge entry
Effective communication with patients, families, and the healthcare team is expected
Role includes supervision of support staff, students, and volunteers
This is a fast-paced environment requiring strong multitasking and teamwork abilities
Candidates are expected to maintain professional development and stay current with evidence-based practices
Requirements
Active TX PT license required if applicable
Current BLS certification required
Minimum of 1 year of physical therapy experience required
Strong outpatient physical therapy background required
Orthopedic experience preferred
Flu vaccination is required with no exemptions typically granted during flu season
Two professional references required
Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local travelers are not accepted
