About the Opportunity

Community Church is seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help oversee food and beverage operations. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a mission-driven, faith-based environment and is committed to ensuring a welcoming and high-quality dining experience for the community.

The AGM will support the Food and Beverage Director in managing daily operations, supervising staff, and coordinating food service for church programs and events.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in leading and managing daily food and beverage operations across ministries, programs, and events

Support menu planning that reflects diverse tastes, dietary needs, and budget targets

Ensure compliance with all health, sanitation, and safety standards

Supervise, train, and motivate food service team members

Coordinate food service needs for gatherings, services, and special events

Assist with vendor management, purchasing, and inventory

Help manage costs related to food, labor, and supplies

Provide excellent service to members and guests, addressing inquiries or concerns professionally

Collaborate with church leadership to align operations with mission and values

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in food and beverage or hospitality operations

Supervisory or management experience preferred

Knowledge of kitchen operations, staffing, and food safety standards

ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain required

Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on teamwork

Flexible schedule with availability for weekends, holidays, and evenings

Commitment to the church’s mission and community service
