The role
We are looking for a Data Engineer / Junior Data Management SPecialist to help design, manage, and operate our Data Warehouse and related data management systems.
The ideal candidate has a background in Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative field, and a solid foundation in SQL databases, Python, and ETL processes.
We’re seeking someone eager to grow their expertise in data systems, with strong analytical thinking and a collaborative mindset to deliver data-driven solutions.
Responsibilities
Contribute to the development, maintenance, and optimization of the company’s data warehouse and automated data management systems.
Perform SQL-based data analysis and design data marts and ETL processes, ensuring quality, performance, and security.
Collaborate closely with BI specialists and Data Scientists to deliver accurate, high-quality data.
Support the generation of insights and recommendations from data to inform business decisions.
Conduct thorough testing of developed components before release.
We're looking for someone who must have
The ideal candidate will bring most of the following skills and abilities:
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset.
Ability to design and execute test cases for software and data analysis.
Good knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, and database querying.
Some experience with Python (or other data analysis languages).
Understanding of ETL architectures and relational databases.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with curiosity and a proactive attitude.
Foundational knowledge of data modelling, data warehousing, and data lifecycle management.
Basic familiarity with Unix shell scripting.
Good proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Nice to Have
Exposure to cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS S3).
Familiarity with streaming data ingestion (e.g., Kafka).
Interest in machine learning or AI models and algorithms.
