Programme Manager – INTeACT Product

We currently have a position for a Programme Manager – INTeACT Product in Naval Ships.

As Programme Manager – INTeACT Product you will lead a core line of business within Combat Systems which delivers a product into multiple programmes across hundreds of millions of pounds of business. The successful delivery of the INTeACT product line to the UK and Norwegian Navy is a strategic imperative to Naval Ships and M&L Sector and critical for the future delivery of our business plan.

Naval Ships Combat Systems is developing a new Combat Management System product and delivering this in collaboration with the Royal Navy under RECODE contract. INTeACT is the next generation Combat Management System product providing an open architecture that can readily host Mission System applications. As Programme Manager you will be fully accountable to deliver this critical strategic product that underpins the Combat Systems strategy for the UK and future Export opportunities.

Your main responsibilities as Programme Manager – INTeACT Product:

· Accountable for delivery of the INTeACT Product against RECODE and Business requirements – highly complex and highly technical context.

· Budgetary accountability of £36m customer funded work plus c£2.2M per annum of internal investment for the next 8 years.

· Lead the INTeACT product organisation across a matrix of c50 people.

· Ownership and development of the INTeACT capability delivery plan and Product Roadmap, considering and aligning to:

o MoD capability requirements, timelines and route to market

o Alignment with Strategic projects and SME 3rd Party Applications

o Internal investment planning and Intellectual property assertions

o Existing project commitments

· Inclusion of future campaign requirements (product and capability), closely working with Business development and Integration services

· Management of the demand and supply of INTeACT Product resources to support programme demands and needs.

· Management and agreement of product backlog and delivery plan for INTeACT product and resolution through existing scope or future work (via Product Roadmap).

Your skills and qualifications:

· Knowledge of the Combat Management System product base.

· Experienced professional with extensive knowledge of Project Management (tools, techniques, practices) and basic knowledge of other functions such as Commercial & Finance.

· Recognised as an experienced Project Management practitioner within the local & wider Business.

· Demonstrates good commercial practices & how it integrates within own project area.

· Developed communication and diplomacy skills. Able to persuade and influence internal & external stakeholders, sometimes at senior levels internally.

· University level education or professional qualifications gained through industry.

· Professional PM Qualification (APM or PMI as examples) or years of practical experience gained through application of Project Management.

· Expect to be a qualified LCM Assessor or Chairperson.
