Job Description
Aerotek is hiring several Electrical Assembly Technicians for an Industrial Company located in the south Memphis area. These positions are 6 month contract to hire working within a temperature controlled environment. **Must be able to start within a week**
Shifts:
1st: 6:30AM-3:00PM Monday-Friday, must be available to work 12 hour shifts and Saturdays as needed
(Pay $27.50-$30.00/hr)
2nd: 3:30PM-12:00AM Monday-Friday, must be available to work 12 hours shifts as Saturdays as needed
(Pay $29.15-$31.80)
Responsibilities
• Assemble, wire, and test industrial control panels and switchgear systems, with a focus on 3-phase power distribution
• Pulling wire, crimp wire, install, and test wiring utilizing point to point
• Familiarity with tools such as multimeters, wire strippers, crimpers, and torque wrenches
• Performs part replacement on tools as needed and according to schedule
• Resolves routine questions and problems, referring more complex issues to higher levels
• Works under direct, close supervision, with output monitored frequently
• Maintain documentation and update panel layouts as needed
• Follow manufacturing protocols and lean production principles
• Follow detailed written or verbal instructions, including visual aids, diagrams and schematics.
• Ensure that assigned area is clean and organized per 5S standards
• Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy
• May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
• Coordinates with teammates to organize tasks requiring multiple team members to accomplish - smaller group teams
• Keeps inventory personnel abreast of spare parts inventory and locations for ease of order fulfillment
Additional Skills & Qualifications
2+ years of experience in electrical wiring and assembly, including wiring schedules, schematics, or visual aids
Ability to operate a personal computer using a Windows-based operating system and related software
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Ability to interpret blueprints, graphs, and schematics.
Experience with hand and power tools, soldering, and control panel assembly
Familiarity with multimeters and other electrical testing equipment.
Experience with industrial and production environments.
