Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 (based on experience)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Controller to join a dynamic and growth-oriented finance team with our client. This role offers significant career advancement potential, including a clear succession path to the Controller position.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the full month-end close process, including bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance

Manage and reconcile capital projects and related asset accounting

Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization policies and asset life determination

Review, upload, and document lease agreements in accordance with accounting standards

Utilize JD Edwards ERP system and advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting

Collaborate cross-functionally to support operational and strategic initiatives

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required

CPA and/or MBA preferred

7-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred for top-tier compensation

Candidates with 3+ years of progressive public accounting experience are also encouraged to apply

Strong understanding of GAAP, fixed assets, and lease accounting

High proficiency in Excel and experience with JD Edwards or similar ERP systems

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

A curious mindset with a willingness to ask questions and learn
