Job Summary:
The Process Engineer is responsible for designing, integrating, and optimizing manufacturing processes and inspection standards. This position plays a key role in driving cost efficiency, productivity, and product reliability across the facility. The role involves active participation in Product Development, Manufacturing, and Design Engineering projects, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between customer requirements and production capabilities.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field (preferred).
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, within metal casting (foundry) or injection molding operations.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer, leading process optimization, standardization, and improvement initiatives.
Strong knowledge of CAD tools for layout design and production optimization.
Experience in process simulation to support decision-making, process optimization, and scenario analysis.
Solid understanding of manufacturing workflows, tooling, and inspection methods.
Proven experience in process improvement, root cause analysis, and cost-reduction initiatives.
Familiarity with APQP / PPAP or equivalent product validation processes preferred, especially in automotive or aerospace applications.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies is highly value.
Fluent in English (oral and written).
Knowledge:
Manufacturing processes, tooling, assembly, and materials engineering.
Statistical process control (SPC), data analysis, and process validation.
Quality and EHS standards (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS9100D as applicable).
Design for manufacturability and cost optimization.
Root cause analysis and structured problem-solving techniques.

Responsibilities:
Process Optimization
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
Introduce new manufacturing methods and technologies to improve operational efficiency.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective actions for design or process issues.
Collaborate with Quality teams to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory standards.
Support validation and qualification of manufacturing processes and new products.
Production Support
Provide technical guidance to manufacturing teams to ensure process consistency and efficiency.
Troubleshoot production issues in real time and coordinate technical solutions.
Product Development & Collaboration
Partner with engineering, tooling, and customer support teams to align product specifications with process capabilities.
Review product designs for manufacturability, cost effectiveness, and operational feasibility.
Documentation & Training
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
Train production personnel on updated methods, emphasizing safety and quality.
Cost & Layout Optimization
Design and optimize equipment, material flow, and workspace layouts using CAD tools.
Track and report cost-saving initiatives derived from process improvements.
