Your contribution:
Responsible for working together with Senior Product Line Controller, Global Energy Systems in all financial activities, processes and internal controls related to the R&D area of Energy Systems global organization, including the costs incurred by the Customer and Technology business area pertaining to the Energy Systems products.
Main business partners in this role beyond the finance community will be the R&D team, Business Development and Program Management teams
Energy Systems EMEA business includes:
Plant operations for serial production
Engineering and development for future products
Engineering, development and investment for awarded customer programs
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, drive, report the monthly/quarterly financial results in the R&D area of Energy Systems and Customer and Technology
Drive the annual budgeting or strategic planning activities associated with the R&D activities.
Ensure the accurate and timely allocation of the costs associated to the R&D projects. Align the collection of data into one report from the different sources (internal hours tracking systems, external spent project data, etc.).
Work on improving the internal tracking hours together with the Project Management team.
Prepare variance analyses to improve project cost controlling (including deriving recommendations for action), as well as preparing ad-hoc evaluations.
Monitor the execution of the projects associated to the R&D area in close alignment with the Finance Director of Energy Systems and R&D function.
Develop and communicate internal labor rates on a frequent basis.
Collaboration with product cost calculation and the controllers of the rest of the business units to ensure an accurate input into the business cases at hand.
Ensure the maintenance of a sufficient internal control environment to comply with statutory and group reporting policies and rules.
Assist in communication with Corporate Tax & CFS, Trade Compliance to ensure Clarios Advanced Solutions Europe complies with legal & statutory requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Engineering
Solid years of P&L experience as a controller, ideally with a focus on either R&D controlling or in multinational, matrix driven organization with a high regard for results-driven growth and profitability
Effective technical financial skills, balanced with sound business judgment.
Proven interpersonal skills with a collegial, team-oriented style.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills
Forward thinking with a willingness to engage in all aspects of the business as well as flexibility and openness to changes
Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office package, SAP (especially M. Excel)
The starting salary is at min 3 100 EUR/month gross for candidates who meet our minimum criteria.
