JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: School-Age Child Care Site Supervisor
Reports to: SACC Site Coordinator and SACC Director
Employment Status: Regular/Part-time
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Pay Range: $19.63 - $20.43 / hr
Description: Responsible for the implementation and management of his/her site, directs and evaluates the performance of the assistant supervisor(s) and program aides.
NOTE: The below lists are not ranked in order of importance
Qualifications:
Minimum of 21 years of age
Degree in elementary education, early childhood education, or other related field is preferred
2000 hours of documented related experience or 90 quarter/60 semester hours of successfully completed course work at an accredited college or university can be considered for this position
Certified training in child abuse, recognition and prevention. Communicable disease recognition and management, first aid/CPR
Ability to produce a medical statement signed by a licensed physician's office that documents employee is free of communicable disease and fit to work with children dated prior to first day of employment, but not more than twelve months prior to employment
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work effectively and positively with others
Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
Effective active listening skills
Ability to manage students in small & large groups
Can understand and identify the individual needs of students in the program and adapt expectations and practices accordingly
Such alternatives to the above required knowledge skills and abilities as the Supervisor and/or Board of Education may find appropriate
Essential Functions:
Ensure the safety and engagement of of students in the program
Prepares and post for staff and parents a monthly calendar of age-appropriate activities revolving around a unit/theme for the day, week, or month
Delegates responsibilities to staff members regarding all activities and required duties of the program
Accurately records and supervises the arrival/dismissal of each student
Maintains and secures updated files of students enrolled in the program
Follows tracking of students policy and management of all permission forms accordingly.
Oversees snack preparation and serving
Orders all necessary equipment and supplies, and keeps in good working condition
Orders food and snacks through Nutritional Services google document
Attends staff development opportunities
School-Age Child Care Site Supervisor
Conducts monthly site planning meetings
Attends SACC Director monthly staff meetings
Daily set/up clean up of the program
Maintain respect at all times of confidential information, e.g., student records
Promote good social relationships between students and staff
Interacts positively, using constructive guidance in appropriate social interactions and expected standards of behavior. Documents of pertinent concerns
Enforces SACC policies
Will conduct fire, tornado and safety drills (lockdown) accordingly and submit to the Site Coordinators
Will complete and maintain all incident/injury reporting of all injuries
Will administer medication to a student if required and complete Administration of Medication form
Directs on-site supervision of all staff and students including appropriate disciplinary documentation records
Communicates with Site Coordinators regarding site or staff problems that cannot be resolved
Supervises the care and nurturing of students in a safe and welcoming environment
Responsible for on-site training and staff needs
Supervision of indoor/outdoor recreational activities daily
Greet parents daily, sharing positive information about their student whenever possible
Monthly newsletters posted and emailed to each family, site coordinator and the director
Interacts with parents, students, school personnel and the SACC staff in a positive, professional and cooperative manner
Performs other duties as assigned

Additional Working Conditions:
Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue
Occasional exposure to loud noises
Occasional interaction among, and intervention with, unruly children
Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull various items up to a maximum of 25 pounds, e.g., paper boxes, deliveries of supplies and equipment
Frequently remain in a stationary period for extended periods
Frequently move and position self as necessary to access and operate equipment, provide instruction or support, supervise students, and/or maintain appropriate discipline
Frequently move around workspace and travel throughout school building and/or school district
Employees shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance, use in the workplace throughout his/her employment with the District School-Age Child Care Site Supervisor
