Warehouse Techs/Material Handlers

Craftsmen Contractors is looking to hire experienced Warehouse Technicians for the Minden, La. area. This is for an industrial facility that builds modules for data centers. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse, including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and materials handling. The work schedule is Monday thru Friday working day shifts.

Starting pay is $15.40 - $24.31/hr. depending on experience.

Job Duties:

* Stock materials on shelves in warehouse.

* Pull materials as per bill of material for production.

* Operate a forklift to unload, load, and transport materials and supplies to warehouse and production areas.

* Deliver materials to installation area per request.

* Turns in necessary paperwork to inventory control and reports any shortages to warehouse manager.

* Deliver materials from warehouse to corporate offices.

* Unloads trucks and shipments occasionally.

* Assists in training new warehouse personnel.

* Help clean the work area clean and help with other tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.

Job Requirements:

* Stand for extended periods of time while working in industrial setting.

* Sit for extended periods of time while driving and operating a forklift.

* Ability to lift 50 lbs. and bend and stoop.

* Ability to work in an industrial environment with some exposure to fumes, vapors, grease, oil and dust. Some exposure to temperature extremes due to weather in areas without climate control.

* Work around moving heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and large trucks at the unloading dock.

* Wear PPE while working.

* Pass an in-company forklift training program to become a certified Forklift Operator.

* Basic math skills and computer skills.

* Ability to communicate effectively.

* Good judgment and attention to detail.

* Ability to read, comprehend and assimilate information.

* Interact effectively with all levels of employees

* Pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen.

* Must interview face to face prior to being hired.

* Authorized to work in the US.

* Have a high school diploma or GED.
