The Mechanical Contract Manager Role:

You’ll take full responsibility for managing mechanical contracts from start to finish — ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This hands-on role requires a proactive leader who thrives on problem-solving, team collaboration, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Contract Manager:

Oversee the full lifecycle of multiple mechanical contracts, from initiation to completion.

Negotiate and manage terms with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure best-value outcomes.

Develop and track project programmes using Microsoft Project, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.

Monitor progress, manage budgets, and address risks or challenges as they arise.

Lead, support, and motivate project teams to deliver quality and performance excellence.

Maintain accurate contract documentation and reporting through Microsoft Office Suite.

Conduct regular reviews to ensure compliance and continuous improvement across all projects.

About You:

Proven experience as a Contract Manager (mechanical bias) within the construction or M&E industry.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and organisational abilities.

Confident using Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Full UK driving licence (preferred).
