SummaryThe Aero Gas OCI (on Condition Inspector) will be responsible to support inspection of components inside the Avenza LM Service Shop, for all the main scope of work applied on engines. Avenza Aero Alliance is a provider of LM2500/LM6000 (Aero derivative gas turbines) overhaul services. The Aero Gas Turbine OCI will report to the Gate 1 Leader.
Job Description
Support Aero alliance Repair engineer team during the inspection of the components inside the shop.
Perform inspections in dirty condition of disassembled component and share detailed pictures of inspected material, including Borescope inspections if needed.
Verify that applied scope of work is aligned with the contractual one agreed during Kickoff meeting creation.
Inspect and define the status of each part: Clean & inspect/ Ship to repair/ Scrap and communicate do G0 Team any deviation from original scope of work.
Based on parts status, define extra-works that are needed from a technical standpoint and share the information with the Repair engineer assigned for that job.
Raise NSR on the dedicated platform.
Support Engineering team in the realization of the “Visual Inspection Report” to be discussed with Customers in order to show the status of the engine after disassembly and agree on the final work scope.
Qualifications/Requirements
Technical High School Diploma with proven experience or equivalent background
Basic knowledge of Mechanics is required
Ability to read technical information and manuals
Intermediate knowledge of English
Ability to synthesize complex technical information
Desired Characteristics
Basic knowledge of Turbomachinery Mechanics would be a plus
Previous knowledge/experience of Aero-derivative gas turbine products, especially on LM2500, would be a plus
Previous knowledge/experience of Aero-engines, would be a plus
Ability to interact with different levels of the organization: from shop operators to Engineering team to G1 leader
Strong detail oriented approach
