What You Will Be Doing:

You will be working within our plating department to observe and maintain the chemical tank operations, inspect racks on the plating and powder coat lines, and conduct analytical laboratory work to support plating operations and ensure wastewater compliance.

Handle all documentation related to plating processes, including test results, maintenance logs, and compliance records

Collect, and process analytical, or chemical samples and perform chemical analyses including titrations, atomic absorption spectroscopy, colorimetry, gravimetric analysis, etc.

Collect required data for process chemistry, wastewater, or environmental reports

Order and maintain chemical and equipment inventory

Adhere to documented SOPs for Plating lab procedures

Proper handling of hazardous chemicals and regulated waste

Direct cleanup or storage of chemicals and wastes

Respond to hazardous chemical spills or wastewater upset conditions

Operate plating equipment independently, making decisions and adjustments as needed to maintain quality and safety standards

Adjust process chemistry or process controls, and as needed consult with a lead or engineering

Coordinate with maintenance to schedule necessary repairs

Conduct or lead required inspections of work areas, equipment, or storage areas.

Calculate mass balances on process tanks and determine chemical additions

Troubleshoot mechanical systems and chemical operations issues

Operate an Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant as a fully certified operator

Assist in training new employees in plating lab procedures and processes as directed by a lead or supervisor

What You Will Bring:

Prior experience in plating, wastewater, or chemical operations environments

Willingness and ability to learn

Prior Experience working with MS Office Suite and Windows Operating Systems

Ability to work in a Chemical Manufacturing Environment and work around tanks and in tight spaces with hazardous chemicals

Physically capable of performing all duties and functions including lifting up to 50 lbs.
