JOB SUMMARY

As a CDL A Delivery Truck Driver, you will safely and efficiently transport products from our warehouse to various customers, adhering to invoicing and company standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Unload products from the trailer using hand or hand cart in all weather conditions and position in designated customer storage areas.

Complete required paperwork, ensuring DOT logs, inspections, and maintenance reports are accurate and submitted timely.

Adhere to food safety protocols, maintaining proper product temperatures and preventing cross-contamination.

Build rapport with customers through excellent service and clear communication.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma/GED/equivalent and 1 year of tractor trailer driving experience; completion of a tractor trailer driving school may substitute for high school diploma.

1 year of verifiable tractor trailer driving experience is required; food and beverage delivery experience is a plus.

CERTIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License, must be insurable to operate a vehicle as a condition of initial and continued employment.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of: DOT regulations; Hazmat guidelines; safe lifting and delivery practices.

Skills in: long-distance driving, diverse terrains, customer communication, problem-solving, and product delivery.

Ability to: drive safely in various conditions, exceed productivity levels, handle hazardous materials, operate required equipment, effectively communicate in English, perform basic math functions, and organize work independently.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to sit, talk, and hear while frequently lifting and moving products weighing up to 50 pounds by hand and up to 350 pounds with a hand cart. Requires ability to climb in and out of the tractor and trailer, bend, twist, and stack/unstack products.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Work conditions may include wet, hot, cold, or humid environments. Overnight schedules including weekends, holidays, and varying start times are required to meet customer needs.
