Title: Licensing Manager (fixed term for maternity cover until September 30, 2026)

We are seeking a Licensing Manager (maternity cover) to manage our German business unit. Reporting to our Senior Management, you will be responsible for key client management, developing business with existing and new licensees together with relevant contract negotiations.
Working largely with Volkswagen, you will be a talented sales individual with strong relationship building skills with the capability to negotiate partnerships with licensees. You will be instrumental in the development of our clients’ strategic licensing plans.
You will be required to travel to client and licensees’ offices and trade shows both domestic and international, as the need arises.
Job Requirements
· Responsible for developing and implementing Volkswagen’s licensing strategy
· Take personal responsibility for agreed product categories (TBD)
· Manage the day-to-day client relationship
· Responsible for annual budgeting and forecasting
· Manage a Product Development Manager
· Review programme objectives, results and goals regularly with the Global Icons Sales Teams
· Work closely with licensees on product development, retailer presentations and promotions

Skills & Experience
Fluent German & English speaker
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the licensing industry or in a brand development, buying, marketing or a brand management role
Experience in a client-facing role
Understanding of brands
Strong sales experience - Prospecting, pitching, negotiating deals through contract execution
Confident in creating and delivering presentations
Adept at handling financial data
Proactive, ‘can do’ attitude
Decisive
Proven time management and organisational abilities

Education
· University degree required – a qualification in a related discipline such as business or marketing desirable.
· Language Skills: Fluent English and German
Computer Skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
· Working knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator desirable
