What you will be doing

We are seeking a dynamic senior leader with previous demonstrated experiences of delivery and proven active leadership in a growth organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a growing nuclear business, supporting delivery of National Defence priorities and incredible new technologies.

The General Manager (GM) will be accountable for leading the overall performance of the EC&I organisation, ensuring the delivery of sustainable business outcomes through effective strategy execution, operational excellence, people leadership, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and engagement. The GM provides clear direction, ensures resources are aligned to business priorities, and drives a high-performance culture that fosters innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Reporting to the EC&I Director the GM will be the point of contact for all EC&I Delivery & Supply Chain accountabilities across Rolls-Royce Submarines. Responsibilities

You will lead development and execution of the EC&I strategy to ensure both current and future requirements can be met in terms of growth, partnerships, improved performance & people capabilities in alignment with business goals

You will be accountable for all aspects of Safety, Quality, Cost, Deliver and People within your areas of the Business

You will be accountable for managing cross functional requests and deliverables which support the delivery of the EC&I vision

You will support the Exec to ensure delivery, project & supply chain accountabilities are able to be given swift attention and response to help realise the EC&I strategy requirements, translating strategic priorities into operational plans and measurable outcomes

You will be responsible for stakeholder engagements and relationship management.

You will lead people management within the organisation to ensure the best possible business outcomes

You will be accountable for governance of processes and timely execution of business requirements

You will help drive strong employee engagement through transparent communication, recognition, and professional growth opportunities

Significant experience in leadership roles across a range of relevant functional areas, demonstrating breadth of experience and of implementing change at pace

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance.
