DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

The Smart Batch Technical Sales Executive is a driven, customer-focused role that will lead the sales and support of our specialty construction equipment and related services. This role blends technical expertise with sales acumen, ensuring customers not only purchase the right solutions but also receive exceptional post-sale support. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable demonstrating advanced automated equipment, training operators, and identifying new sales opportunities as well as supply customer feedback to provide input into our R&D pipeline.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive sales of specialty construction equipment, parts packages, lease units, and annual service plans to new and existing customers.

Perform onsite or remote equipment assessments to determine repair, refurbishment, or upgrade needs.

Prepare accurate and timely quotes for refurbishment projects and other service offerings.

Provide hands-on training for equipment operators and mechanics, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective use of automated equipment.

Present and explain equipment’s automated features, data collection capabilities, and performance reporting benefits to customers.

Support customers in interpreting performance reports and leveraging data for improved operations.

Promote leasing options.

Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, construction companies, mechanics and other key decision-makers.

Collaborate with service and technical teams to ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of issues.

Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities in the company CRM (Salesforce).

Maintain accurate records of maintenance/repair activities for historical reference and to provide valuable information for continuous improvement.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Proficient in preparing quotes, proposals, and sales documentation.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or GED and 3 years of experience in technical sales, equipment sales, or a related construction/industrial industry role.

OR

Associate’s degree in business, engineering, construction, or a related field and 1 year of experience in technical sales, equipment sales, or a related construction/industrial industry role.

OR

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, engineering, construction, or a related field.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES/ EXPERIENCE

Basic hydraulic systems knowledge such as understanding of pressure, flow, hydraulic pumps, and motors

Basic DC electrical knowledge such as ability to read schematics, use multimeter, etc.

Ability to read engineering drawings and technical manuals

Bilingual in English and Spanish

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to travel (about 50-70%) and work extended hours as needed.

Occasional time spent working in a manufacturing shop environment.

Frequently requires the employee to stand for long periods of time, climb, kneel, crawl, twist safely, use hands and fingers to feel and assemble components, and lift up to 80 lbs.

Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Some activities may require exposure to outside weather, electrical components, and airborne particles.
