Scope of Position:
Assist the Warehouse Lead and Supervisor in any way possible to make the work of the warehouse run smoothly and efficiently.
This position is second shift, 5 P.M. to 2 A.M. This position receives a second shift pay premium.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Timely & accurate unloading/loading of trucks.
Accurate weighing and dimensioning of freight.
Operation of stand-up and sit-down forklifts (electric & gas)
Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operational system.
Accurate labeling of freight, zero cross-labels.
Proper putting away, picking, & staging freight, all freight must be put away into a location & accounted for (PUT’s & LDD)
Filling out documentation as trained.
Be able to identify and match numbers and country codes
Ability to interact with office to meet customer service standards.
Contribute to maintain good relationships with customers, zero mis-ships, cross labels or damage to customer freight.
Compliance to all ITAR, DG and other compliance rules and processes.
Contributing to ensure a clean and safe warehouse environment, including Temperature Controlled Room.
May check in drivers in the ProxyClick system and verify their information (if trained to do so).
Understand department process flow, and looking for best practices to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
Personal Development:
Meets company standards of 52 hours training per year per employee.
Attend training classes and completes mandatory training when required.Qualifications
High School Diploma
Forklift Certification and be able to operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results.
Organized and has good time management skills
Is resourceful to find the answer.
Helps to drive performance.
Easily adaptable to changes.
Stress tolerant
Reliable and motivated.
