Job Purpose
To enforce quality control across all facility maintenance, repair, and renovation projects by performing thorough inspections, ensuring all work and materials strictly adhere to approved technical specifications, safety standards, and regulatory codes.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control Inspection: Conduct routine and surprise inspections of work performed by in-house technicians and external contractors across all disciplines (Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical).
Compliance Verification: Verify that all maintenance, installations, and repairs comply with local building codes, safety regulations, approved designs, and project specifications.
Non-Conformity Management: Document all deficiencies, non-conformities, and material defects, issuing corrective action requests and tracking their resolution to ensure compliance before final sign-off.
Material and Equipment Vetting: Inspect and confirm that all materials, equipment, and spare parts delivered to the site meet the quality, quantity, and technical requirements of the purchase orders and specifications.
Reporting: Prepare detailed, accurate daily and weekly inspection reports, quality control logs, and photographic evidence for project and maintenance documentation.
Procedural Adherence: Monitor site activities to ensure workers and contractors adhere strictly to established safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree or advanced diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Technical Inspector, Quality Control Officer, or Site Supervisor within facilities management, maintenance, or construction.
Skills:
Strong working knowledge of inspection methodologies and quality assurance procedures for all major building systems (MEP and Civil).
Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
Excellent communication skills for conveying technical findings clearly and professionally to both managers and contractors.1
Certification from a recognized quality or inspection body (e.g., ASQ, relevant trade certification) is highly desirable.
