We are seeking an experienced Project Designer with a strong background in Educational Design to join our expanding team. Join the A4E team to collaborate on projects that promote the development of innovative spaces for learning and growth.

What You’ll Do

Educational Program Planning: conceptualize educational programs that align with organizational goals and target audience needs. Conduct research on emerging trends and best practices

Learning Experience Design: Ensure that the design of learning spaces meet educational pedagogy goals, integrating interactive and experiential learning methodologies.

Design & Documentation: Lead concept development, design, and documentation. Oversee 1-5 staff, ensuring designs meet the project’s vision and are within budget and timeline.

Leadership: Develop and manage workflows and design schedules. Coordinate with consultants and Districts to ensure seamless execution and client leadership.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with educators, administrators, students, parents, and consultants to collect feedback and develop designs accordingly.

Construction Phase & Quality Control: Review and oversee construction-related documentation, ensuring that the design intent is maintained.

What You Need

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture from an accredited school.

8+ years of architectural experience with at least 2 years working on education projects

Proficient in Revit, Adobe Programs, Rhino/Sketch Up, and other design tools.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and project coordination tools

Strong leadership skills and experience in managing all design phases, including supervising design teams.

This role offers flexibility, with full remote options for exceptional candidates, though a hybrid arrangement in our LA office is preferred.
