Located in the heart of Bingin, our client is a modern Mediterranean-style luxury villa in Uluwatu, seeking a Chief Accountant. The Chief Accountant will lead the accounting and finance operations for the group, overseeing multiple entities including villas, suites, and investment structures.

This position is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, supervising the finance team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining full compliance with Indonesian tax regulations, while providing strategic support to the directors and international stakeholders.

The Chief Accountant will serve as the key user of Xero for bookkeeping, reporting, and consolidation, and will coordinate with management, external auditors, and tax authorities.

Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Masters degree, CPA, CA, or Brevet A & B certification preferred).

Minimum of 8 years in accounting or finance roles, with at least 3 years in a senior or managerial position such as Chief Accountant or Finance Manager.

Experience in hospitality, property development, or investment sectors is highly preferred.

Proven expertise in Indonesian taxation and regulatory compliance.

Proficient in Xero (multi-entity and multi-currency experience preferred).

Strong knowledge of Indonesian GAAP and taxation regulations.

Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.

Skilled in investor reporting and consolidating multiple entities.

Experienced in cash flow management and forecasting.

Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Highly detail-oriented, organized, and deadline-driven.

Effective communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English (both written and verbal).

Demonstrated integrity and the ability to manage confidential financial information.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and mentor the accounting and finance team to ensure high performance and accuracy.

Oversee all general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliation processes within Xero.

Prepare accurate and timely financial statements (monthly, quarterly, and annual) across multiple entities as needed.

Develop and maintain budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial models to support management and investor reporting.

Manage statutory reporting requirements and coordinate with external auditors.

Ensure full compliance with Indonesian tax regulations (VAT, PPh 21/22/23/25/29, withholding tax, import duties where applicable) and oversee BPJS payments.

Supervise timely tax payments and return filings.

Provide tax planning and compliance advice for both local and foreign ownership structures.

Maintain and enhance internal controls, accounting policies, and best practice financial procedures.

Deliver financial analysis and strategic recommendations to improve profitability, ROI, and cost efficiency across all entities.

Support due diligence and reporting processes for potential investors.
