Position Summary:

Job Title: Low Voltage Telecommunications Estimator

Location: Anaheim, CA

Experience: Minimum of 6 years in low voltage telecommunications project estimation, RCDD certification preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform take-offs from plans and specifications for large distribution center, manufacturing facility, multi-family, and healthcare projects.

Understand industry-standard construction means and methods.

Read and comprehend contract documents, drawings, and specifications.

Attend pre-bid meetings, conduct site visits, and document existing conditions.

Collaborate with subcontractors and material suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality work.

Review supplier/subcontractor quotes for compliance with project plans and specifications.

Evaluate design options and propose cost-effective solutions.

Develop preliminary construction schedules.

Familiarity with Inside Plant (ISP) and Outside Plant (OSP) construction methods.

Knowledge of structured cabling and wiring methods, including CAT 6, CAT 6A, copper, fiber-optic, and coaxial cable installations.

Knowledge of Security, Access control, CCTV, Public Safety DAS design and installations.

Understanding of BiCSi and EIA/TIA design criteria and installation standards.

Experience with various construction operations.

Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and exceptional work ethic.

Qualifications:

5-10 years of successful commercial construction estimating experience, with low voltage projects ranging from $50 thousand to $5 million.

Ability to design and estimate IT projects of varying sizes.

Leadership skills to direct and lead technical staff.

Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.

Detail-oriented with a focus on meeting deadlines.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Excel, Visio, MS Project, and CAD.

RCDD Certification preferred.

Previous experience in information technology or related fields.

Experience in access control and other systems is required.

Ability to read blueprints and perform takeoffs.
