ABOUT THE ROLE
The Project Coordinator, Operations and Engineering, assist our project and plant managers in organizing our ongoing life extension and sustaining capital projects.
Reporting to the Manager, Engineering, the Project Coordinator will create, develop and monitor project plans and schedules for the annual major maintenance plan for our assets and the submission to our customer.
This is a Perth based role, however travel to our sites will be required. TransAlta offers a competitive remuneration package including private health insurance for you & your family and eligibility for an annual bonus.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
Creating, developing and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
Organizing, attending, and participating in stakeholder meetings
Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings
Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings
Determining project changes
Providing administrative support as required
Undertaking project tasks as required
Developing project strategies
Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable
Solid decision-making skills to manage outcomes, including the timeliness of decisions
ABOUT YOU
Engineering degree, technical diploma or trade certificate.
Minimum of three years of experience in a related field
Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Demonstrated knowledge in the area of contract and project management.
Industrial construction and maintenance knowledge - specific power generation experience is an asset.
Awareness and understanding of applicable regulations and legislation that apply to the power generation business in Australia
