Position Summary:

As a Cook at Steel District Hospitality, you will be an integral part of the kitchen team, responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards. This role requires precision, speed, and a commitment to maintaining consistency in every dish. You’ll be working alongside a talented group of culinary professionals in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, cook, and present menu items with attention to quality and consistency

Follow recipes and portion control guidelines as directed by the Head Chef or Kitchen Manager

Ensure that food preparation meets safety, sanitation, and quality standards

Assist with the setup and organization of workstations before and during service

Participate in daily food prep and ensure all items are prepped and ready for service

Manage stock levels, conduct inventory, and assist in the ordering of supplies as needed

Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a clean and efficient workspace

Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food storage and handling

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a Cook or Line Cook in a fast-paced restaurant environment

Knowledge of various cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and safety protocols

Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a team environment

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely

Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks during busy service hours

Culinary degree or relevant certifications are a plus, but not required

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
