Job Description

The purpose of this position is to provide professional behavioral and mental health services; provide clinical and casework services, perform counseling and treatment for addiction and emotionally traumatized clients and their families; and perform related work as required within the Erie County Health Department and Erie County Community Health Center. This position will provide outpatient mental health and addiction counseling and provide support within the Erie County Community Health Center. This position will also collaborate with medical and clinical staff in the agency to guide appropriate level of services during treatment. Additional responsibilities with behavioral and mental health counseling at other health center sites throughout Erie County will be determined based on facility need. Behavioral and Mental Health Services are essential to assure the successful achievement of the Agency’s vision, mission, organizational goals, strategic priorities, and management by objectives (MBOs).
