Job Title: Full-Time Occupational Therapist

Location: Vero Orthopaedics, Vero Beach, Florida

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team full-time. The Occupational Therapist will work onsite at our state-of-the-art facility, providing comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients recovering from orthopedic conditions, surgeries, and injuries. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality care and helping patients achieve their functional goals, with a focus on enhancing their ability to perform daily activities.

Education:

Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Licensure:

Current and valid Florida Occupational Therapist license.

Experience:

Preferably 2+ years of experience in orthopedic or outpatient occupational therapy settings. Hand experience is preferred.

Skills:

Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform thorough evaluations to assess patients' functional abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation needs, particularly in activities of daily living.

Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient diagnoses, goals, and evidence-based practices.

Administer therapeutic interventions, including fine motor exercises, adaptive techniques, and modalities to improve functional independence.

Educate patients and caregivers on home exercises, ergonomic adjustments, injury prevention, and strategies to enhance recovery.

Collaborate with physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

Document patients progress accurately in accordance with clinic and regulatory standards.

Stay informed on advancements in occupational therapy techniques and integrate them into patient care as appropriate.

Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment, adhering to all clinic policies and procedures.
