Job Description

Qualifications for a Commercial Window Film Project Takeoff and Estimating Manager:

Tasks:

1. **Bid Invitation Management:**

Receive and track incoming bid invitations from general contractors.

Evaluate project specifications and requirements.

2. **Project Takeoff:**

Conduct detailed analysis of team takeoffs for window film installations from PDF documents.

Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine accurate material needs.

3. **Estimating:**

Prepare and review comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, and overhead.

Collaborate with suppliers to obtain pricing for window film and related materials when required.

4. **Proposal Preparation:**

Develop and present competitive proposals to general contractors.

Ensure all bids are compliant with project requirements and deadlines.

5. **Collaboration:**

Work closely with project managers, sales teams, and installation crews.

Communicate effectively with general contractors to clarify project details and identify items that need clarification. Submit RFI’s

6. **Market Research:**

Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and pricing strategies.

Analyze previous project data to refine estimating processes.

7. **Documentation:**

Maintain organized records of bids, estimates, and project correspondence.

Update project databases with current bidding information.

8. **Risk Assessment:**

Identify potential risks and challenges associated with each bid.

Develop strategies to mitigate risks in project execution.

9. **Client Interaction:**

Build and maintain relationships with general contractors and clients.

Address any questions or concerns regarding estimates or proposals.

Qualifications:

1. **Education:**

Associate degree, or Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field.

2. **Experience:**

Proven experience in estimating and project management within the construction or window film industry.

Familiarity with commercial window film products and installation techniques is not required but is helpful.

3. **Technical Skills:**

Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., PDF, Bluebeam, PlanSwift).

Strong understanding of construction blueprints and technical specifications.

4. **Analytical Skills:**

Excellent math skills and attention to detail for accurate takeoffs and estimates.

Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

5. **Communication Skills:**

Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members.

Ability to present information clearly and persuasively.

6. **Organizational Skills:**

Highly organized, disciplined, and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Strong time management skills.

7. **Problem-Solving Skills:**

Demonstrated ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.

8. **Certifications (optional but beneficial):**
