We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician / Electrician to support electrical and communication systems within a municipal building. The technician will install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems and structured cabling.
Responsibilities:
Install, terminate, and test Cat5 and Cat6 network cabling.
Pull, route, and secure low-voltage wiring through conduit, ceilings, and walls.
Install and service systems such as data, security, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical drawings.
Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on low-voltage components.
Ensure all work meets NEC and local electrical codes and safety standards.
Work collaboratively with other trades and facility staff to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications:
OSHA 30 certification required.
Must pass a drug test prior to employment.
Minimum 3 years of experience in low-voltage or electrical work preferred.
Proficient with Cat5/Cat6 cabling, wire pulling, and terminations.
Ability to work independently and follow safety procedures.
Experience working in municipal or commercial facilities is a plus.
