Senior Communications Officer

JOB DETAILS: Background information about the job or company: The incumbent will be responsible to the Principal Communications Officer for performing the following duties:- Providing technical support and guidance in the management of communication issues and usage of different communication guidelines; Participating in planning and implementation of information dissemination and public relations programmes and activities; Participating in media and publicity activities at National and Regional levels; Designing mechanisms for public information management and requirements; Producing and disseminating Information, Education and Communication materials; Assessing risks, developing and implementing crisis communication management strategies; Preparing and submitting work plans, budgets and performance reports to relevant authorities; Supervising and appraising staff; Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
