JOB DETAILS: Background information about the job or company: Post ASSISTANT COMMISSIONER INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY Responsibilities or duties: Leading development, planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems Leading IT strategic and operational planning Collaborating with all the Departments of the Institution Leading formulation and continuous improvement of IT policies Guiding and supporting Top Management in making sound data driven decisions Creating an IT enabled environment that encourages innovation Guiding, supporting and coaching Department staff Ensuring IT systems and data protection Coordinating adoption of E-Government and digitization of business processes Undertaking IT related planning and budgeting activities Implementing change management programmes Any other duties as assigned Qualifications or requirements: Applicants should be Ugandans holding an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field Applicants should have a Masters Degree in Computer Science or related field Professional qualification in COBIT and Prince 2/PMP Post Graduate Diploma in Public Administration or Management Experience needed: Minimum of nine (9) years relevant working experience in Information Technology field, with three (3) years at Principal Information Technology Officer level in Government
