Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director Position in Athens, OH

Pediatrix is seeking a dedicated and collaborative Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director to lead our esteemed healthcare team at a leading medical facility in Athens, OH. Job Responsibilities:

Lead a team of 3 Pediatric Hospitalists

Provide newborn nursery care with NICU support from Neonatologists

Participate in 24/7 on-call coverage with a round and go model, taking calls from home

Perform circumcisions as part of the Pediatric Hospitalist role

Offer expert Pediatric consultations to the Emergency Department, providing timely assessments and treatment plans

Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of Pediatric Hospitalists and Neonatologists

Engage in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives and clinical research projects

Exchange ideas and best practices with a large network of Pediatrix providers

Not accepting new graduate candidates - experience required Qualifications:

Board Certified in Pediatrics - REQUIRED

Ohio license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED

DEA (must be obtained prior to start) - REQUIRED

Previous employment experience in leadership roles - PREFERRED License and Certification Requirements:

Current Board Certification in Pediatrics

Active Ohio Medical License (or willingness to obtain)

DEA License (must be obtained before starting)
