Mobile Service Technician / Columbus
This position is responsible for diagnosing and repairing customers’ vehicles and ordering parts necessary for the repair. Must be able to work out in the elements.

Responsibilities:
Repair all-makes all-models general truck and trailer repair as well as diesel and gas engines, emission-related issues, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, electrical, hydraulic systems, and other problems as identified.
Initiate diagnosis of the vehicle’s problem(s). Drive to the vehicle location, hook up the computer and diagnose the problem area(s).
Follow all safety guidelines: Use of wheel chocks; lock out/tag out; all other safety requirements set by OSHA and Young Truck Sales.
Order parts to complete repairs from the shop’s parts counter.
Clean, organize and maintain the mobile service vehicle as practical between repair jobs.
Document the story of the details of the repair.
Requirements:
High school education or its equivalent is required. Vocational degree or ASE certifications in diesel engine repair or its equivalent is preferred with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
Possess a valid Ohio driver’s license with the ability to be insured by the Company’s motor vehicle insurance carrier.
Class A – CDL preferred with a medical card.
Ability to walk up to mile in all weather. Ability to climb into the cab of a truck. Ability to walk up and down stairs. Ability to bend, crouch, and lift up to 50 lb.
Possess good time management, ability to prioritize, attention to detail, and basic computer skills.
Experience with all makes truck and trailer repair and maintenance.
Good communication and excellent customer service skills.
Strong mechanical aptitude and outside–the–box thinking.
