About the Role

We are supporting a leading organization in their search for a Contract Specialist to oversee a wide range of contracts and agreements. This is a critical role that ensures agreements are well-structured, compliant, and supportive of long-term business objectives. The successful candidate will bring strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and experience managing contracts throughout their full lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including construction, procurement, land management, vendor, lease, and commercial agreements.

Lead the development and maintenance of standardized contract templates and processes.

Manage the entire contract lifecycle, including initiation, monitoring, amendments, renewals, and terminations.

Provide strategic input during negotiations, balancing diplomacy with assertiveness to achieve positive business outcomes.

Identify opportunities for contract optimization and renegotiation to improve financial and operational performance.

Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support successful contract execution.

Conduct annual reviews of contract templates and oversee legal reviews when required.

Qualifications & Experience

Post-secondary diploma or degree in Business, Law, Construction Management, or a related field (asset).

Minimum 3–5 years of Canadian contracts experience in a senior or intermediate role.

Experience in contracts management within an EPC/EPCM, construction, supply chain, or engineering environment is an asset.

Strong background in contract drafting, negotiation, legal terms review, and contract compliance.

Skilled in managing multiple contracts with varying complexity across different sectors.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and drive results.

Remuneration for this position will consist of a base salary between $100-130K commensurate upon experience, full benefit package and robust company pension.
