Your area of work:

As part of Deutsche Börse Group’s digital transformation and cloud migration journey, the Big Data & Advanced Analytics (BDAA) team is seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking AI engineer to help shape and drive our Databricks AI initiatives. This role blends technical leadership with deep exploration of cutting-edge tools like MLFlow, LLMs, and Agentic AI frameworks such as Genie and Agent Bricks.

You will join a dynamic team of data & automation engineers and architects, contributing to the definition and deployment of cloud data architecture, platform automation, and operational excellence. Your work will directly support business use cases in big data and advanced analytics across one of the world’s leading financial exchanges.

Your responsibilities:

Lead the technical development of current and future AI products on Databricks.

Enhance, promote and maintain AI/ML Framework for Databricks.

Explore and define baselines for new Databricks AI features, understand how they work, their governance, and cost implications.

Coordinate work across data engineers and data scientists using Agile practices.

Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable AI solutions.

Document technical processes and decisions clearly and concisely.

Evangelize and demo AI applications to internal and external stakeholders.

Your profile:

At least 2 years of experience with AI framework / products / applications

Strong Python skills and experience working with the LLM API.

Hands-on experience with MLFlow and familiarity with Genie AI/BI.

Exposure to Microsoft Azure AI and/or Google Cloud AI services and/or Databricks.

Solid grasp of HTTP semantics and RESTful API design.

Passion for GenAI and emerging agentic frameworks.

Working knowledge of GitHub Actions, Azure Kubernetes and Docker is a plus.

Bonus points for experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Pytest, Ruff, or Celery.

Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.
