Our client, a Global Bank, is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Credit Reviewer to join their team. This role involves conducting thorough reviews of credit applications to ensure they meet internal standards and accurately reflect the associated credit risk. You will work closely with internal teams, provide expert analysis, and help maintain strong oversight of credit risk practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Review credit applications based on a predefined sampling method to identify which cases require a comprehensive review.
Perform in-depth reviews of selected credit files to confirm the accuracy of credit grades assigned to borrowers and facilities, as well as borrower classifications where applicable.
Communicate directly with the responsible Front Office staff to clarify any issues or concerns found during the review process.
Collaborate with the senior credit review team to agree on findings and recommendations.
Submit completed reviews for final approval, including proposed recommendations and any other observations.
Follow up on all recommendations made to ensure they are addressed and resolved appropriately.
Assist with additional tasks as assigned, which may include reviews of classification standards or financial models.
Lead the credit review process for branches and support on-site inspections conducted by internal or external audit teams, acting as a subject matter expert on credit-related matters.
Support the senior credit review lead in managing relationships with senior executives (such as Directors, Executive Directors, and Managing Directors) within your assigned area of responsibility. This includes gaining insights into business activities and providing input on key areas of credit risk.
Required Skills and Experience:
Significant experience in credit analysis and credit risk management within major European or international banking institutions.
Strong understanding of the credit risk environment, including knowledge of complex financing arrangements.
Exceptional attention to detail, especially when reviewing documentation, identifying trends, and interpreting findings.
Proficiency in using technology and data-driven tools to support credit analysis and reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present findings, write detailed reports, and engage effectively with internal stakeholders and senior management.
