Full-Time Rotating Roster Monday to Sunday Start times between 4:30 AM – 1:30 AM

Are you ready to launch your aviation logistics career or take the next step in a dynamic, high-paced environment? We're currently seeking a proactive and safety-focused Freight Coordinator to join our dedicated team at Melbourne Airport.

As a Freight Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and timely movement of cargo from the warehouse to the airline ramp – helping to keep flights on schedule and cargo moving efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct safety checks on all Ground Support Equipment (GSE) prior to use

Accurately transmit freight manifest information in a timely manner

Record and maintain relevant documentation

Professionally assist clients and stakeholders

Build collaborative relationships with internal staff and industry partners

Complete and maintain compliance in Dangerous Goods Acceptance, Load Restraint, and Security Training

Ensure accurate cargo dispatch aligned with Airline Systems, Freight Manifest, and Barrows Tag

Accompany cargo with appropriate documentation, manifest, and NOTOC

Perform additional duties as required

HSE & Compliance Responsibilities

Adhere to all health and safety procedures and report hazards immediately

Ensure personal and team safety at all times

Participate in safety improvement activities

Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE)

What We’re Looking For

Skills & Experience

Minimum 12 months in a similar aviation or logistics role

Knowledge of aircraft load control and safety procedures

Understanding of CASA regulatory requirements

Competent computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office

Attributes

Strong multitasking and time management skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

A self-starter with a can-do attitude

Team player with the ability to work independently

Qualifications

Current Driver’s License

Valid ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card)

Forklift License (LF)

Roster & Conditions

Rotating Roster (Monday–Sunday)

Start times range between 4:30 AM to 1:30 AM (flexibility required)

On-site parking and uniform provided
