We are looking for a dedicated and positive Teaching Assistant to join our team in Kidderminster.
About the Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will be reporting to the Class Teacher and play a vital role in supporting students learning and general wellbeing.
Your main purpose is to ensure every child has the best opportunity to learn and grow.
This includes: * Supporting the Class Teacher with all areas of the day:to:day running of the class.
* Helping with care needs, such as toileting, hygiene, dressing, and eating, and monitoring pupils health and well:being.
* Implementing learning activities and reinforcing concepts presented by teachers.
* Applying positive behaviour management strategies, adopting a tailored approach to each individual child, and adapting your responses to changes in behaviour.
* Promoting independence, personal development, and high expectations of behaviour.
* Contributing to the monitoring and recording of pupils progress.
* Taking responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
What Were Looking For While there are no mandatory qualifications, we are seeking candidates who can demonstrate: Knowledge and Experience (Desirable): * Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). * Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
* Experience of managing a range of approaches to behaviours, including managing challenging behaviours.
* Experience working within education or a multi:cultural, inclusive setting.
Skills: * A commitment to the role, with a desire to put the child first and treat them as an individual.
* A positive and creative approach to meeting pupils needs.
* The ability to work both on your own and as part of a team.
* Good numeracy, literacy, and competent ICT skills.
* Being flexible, adaptable, and solution:focused.
* The ability to work within the parameters of what can be physically demanding work at times.
Requirements * Eligibility to work within the UK.
* Satisfactory Enhanced DBS with barred list checks.
* The ability to meet the physical demands of the job role.
* A full valid driving license may be required depending on the provisions location/nature.
