Job Opportunity: Assistant or Quantity Surveyor We are a main contractor with a solid reputation in the commercial new build and fit:out sector, currently experiencing a period of sustained growth.
With a strong pipeline of upcoming projects, we are looking to expand our team and are seeking a Graduate Quantity Surveyor or an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic and friendly office.
About the Role This is an office:based position at our headquarters in Kidderminster, with regular opportunities to visit live construction sites.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in the commercial success of our projects:measuring, managing costs, analysing data, and supporting procurement and valuations..
Key Responsibilities * Assist in or lead cost planning, budgeting, and cost control * Prepare and evaluate tenders and contracts * Conduct measurement and valuation tasks * Collaborate with project managers and site teams * Monitor project progress and produce financial reports * Support procurement and supplier negotiations * Ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and timelines Candidate Requirements Education: * A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a closely related discipline is essential.
Experience: * Quantity Surveyor or Assistant with Quantity Surveying experience.
* Experience with Bluebeam is desirable but not essential.
