Our client is a leading ENR-ranked, mid-sized General Contractor headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Known for its strong culture of mentorship, internal promotion, and long-term career growth, the company has a proven track record delivering complex construction projects across a variety of sectors, including Higher Education, K-12, Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial, Retail, and Multi-Family. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Superintendent to join their team, with a focus on healthcare projects.

Position Overview:

The Senior Superintendent will oversee and manage the construction execution of healthcare projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. This role is primarily office-based in Columbus, with some on-site presence required to supervise field operations. The ideal candidate has extensive experience as a Superintendent, particularly in healthcare construction.

Compensation: $120-175k+

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities for healthcare projects

Lead and mentor field teams, including foremen, trade partners, and subcontractors

Monitor project schedules, budgets, and quality to ensure successful delivery

Oversee subcontractor performance, contracts, and compliance with safety protocols

Maintain proactive communication with clients, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders

Resolve field-related issues and facilitate timely decision-making

Ensure adherence to all company safety, quality, and operational standards

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects, with significant healthcare experience

Proven track record managing complex healthcare builds, including renovations and ground-up facilities

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency with construction management tools (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required
