Your Tasks

Design, develop and implement cloud-based solutions to support AML and banking compliance processes

Collaborate with business and compliance teams to understand functional and regulatory requirements, translating them into robust technical solutions

Lead the development of ETL pipelines and data integration processes, ensuring high data quality and reliability

Maintain and optimize systems using tools such as AWS, Python, Oracle, PL/SQL and SAS

Ensure scalability, performance and security of cloud environments and related data workflows

Drive automation and process optimization initiatives to increase operational efficiency

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams

Contribute to the modernization of existing AML systems and tools

Apply Agile methodologies, actively participating in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives

Provide technical guidance, mentoring and training to junior engineers or project team members

Collaborate with global and local teams to align solutions with corporate standards while addressing specific business needs

Prepare and present technical documentation, recommendations, and solution designs to stakeholders

Living a risk culture by continuously developing and maintaining a sense of responsibility in the proactive handling of risks within Santander Germany

Your Profile

Successfully completed university degree in (business) computer science, information systems

Proven experience in the banking sector, with at least 5 years of expertise in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), additional knowledge of Taxes and Risk Management will be considered an asset

Strong technical background with hands-on experience developing cloud-based solutions using tools such as S3, EKS, CloudWatch, Athena and Python

Experience in implementing ETL engines and working with Oracle, PL/SQL and SAS

Proven knowledge of Agile methodologies

Solid background in process optimization and automation

Ability to research, analyze, develop and present recommendations that drive modernization and efficiency

Strong communication skills

Experience managing technical teams, including training and professional development

High level of English (mandatory); German and Spanish are desirable
