About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled category buyer, with a strong background in multi entity category management to join the sourcing team. This role will focus on the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle for both MS Amlin Business Services (ABS) and its customers, the other Amlin Legal Entities.
Your primary focus will be on supporting the procurement activity related to all indirect procurement categories, responsible for delivering cost savings across the supplier base and creating commercial frameworks with suppliers to benefit the wider Amlin Group. You will maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver top-tier sourcing and supplier management services, while supporting the wider sourcing team.

What You’ll Spend Your Time Doing
Working with the wider sourcing team to ensure the effective management of indirect spend across the company and other Legal Entities, which will involve helping customers to define requirements, researching the supply market, running market exercises to select suppliers, negotiating commercial terms and putting appropriate contracts in place.
Supporting the development and implementation of procurement strategies, focusing on cost optimisation, supplier management, and risk mitigation.
Acting as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, communicating complex procurement concepts clearly and effectively.
Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal policies, maintaining high standards of integrity and accountability.
Fostering strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring reliable supply chains.
Monitor and support supplier performance against key performance indicators, helping to identify and address any performance issues or risks

What We Need From You
A track record of delivering indirect procurement projects, covering the end-to-end lifecycle of indirect categories
An solid understanding of the financial services market and strong commercial acumen to negotiate contracts, manage supplier relationships and deliver optimal commercial value across indirect category spend
Experience of working in a complex multi-entity environment that is undergoing significant change is an advantage but not necessary.
Strong intellectual and analytical abilities, with a demonstrated ability to identify commercial opportunities across third-party relationships

Competitive Base Salary
