Our client, a leading organization in the energy sector, is seeking a Billing Analyst to join their team. As a Billing Analyst, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting billing operations, analysis, and customer service for large accounts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, proactive communication skills, and analytical thinking, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Billing Analyst
Location: Columbus, Ohio (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $26.42/hr.
Job Type: 12-month contract with potential to convert to perm/FTE
What's the Job?
Verify accuracy of billing data and review individual accounts to ensure correct billing activities.
Serve as the primary contact for large account billing management, communicating proactively with sales teams and customers.
Identify billing discrepancies, determine root causes, and independently resolve issues to maintain data integrity.
Create manual invoices at detailed customer levels and review unbilled cycles for resolution.
Collaborate with utilities and IT teams to troubleshoot issues, improve automation, and ensure compliance with SOX standards.
What's Needed?
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in billing, finance, or relevant business roles.
Advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft Access for data analysis.
Technical understanding of information systems and ability to interpret technical documents.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels.
