This role also supports financial analysis and delivers insights to guide business decisions.Duties and ResponsibilitiesTrack and report monthly revenues and costs related to utilities and servicesPrepare and deliver concise reports comparing current results to benchmarksSupport month-end close by preparing journal entries in accordance with GAAPCollaborate with operational teams to gather data for accurate journal entriesConduct monthly variance analysis to support accurate financial closingEnsure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly and annual financial reportsCoordinate responses for external audits and tax-related requestsComplete and review monthly general ledger account reconciliationsMaintain and update billing rate information based on utility rate structuresProvide ad-hoc financial analysis and general support across the Finance teamPerform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash availabilityRecommend solutions to resolve financial and operational issues using sound judgmentUphold organizational values such as performance, communication, leadership, quality, knowledge, and teamworkComplete additional projects or tasks as assignedQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting required2–4 years of relevant experience in accounting rolesCPA or active CPA candidate required; public accounting experience preferredProficiency with ERP and EPM systems preferredAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills requiredIndustry experience in real estate, utilities, or technology is a plusStrong written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentHigh attention to detail, strong financial analysis, and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesInterested in hearing more?
