Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment? We’re seeking an experienced Payroll Advisor to join a growing team supporting over 200 employees. This is a newly created, permanent role offering stability, meaningful work, and an opportunity to be part of a highly engaged and supportive team.
This role will be a hybrid model with the office being in central Edmonton.
What You’ll Do
Process semi-monthly payroll (and off-cycle payrolls when needed) with accuracy and care.
Manage employee changes, new hires, and terminations within the HRIS (UKG).
Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure timely remittances to the CRA.
Administer benefits and pension plans (defined benefit experience, such as LAPP, is an asset).
Prepare T4s, ROEs, and other year-end documents.
Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records in line with policies and legislation.
Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies—offering thoughtful solutions and insights.
Partner closely with HR and Payroll team members to improve processes and share knowledge.
Provide excellent internal customer service and respond to employee inquiries with professionalism.Who You Are
You have 3–5 years of payroll experience and enjoy tackling complex payroll challenges.
You hold your PCP or CPM certification (National Payroll Institute).
You have strong technical skills in HRIS systems—experience with UKG is a plus.
You’re experienced with benefits administration and defined benefit pension plans.
